S's vacation in Long Island

While I was in Denver, Samantha was having a vacation on Long Island (Andrew got a bachelor weekend out of the deal- two rounds of golf and cleaning our whole house!)  S had a wonderful time with Nana and Granddad (who she now has decided is named, "Baba").

First on the agenda every day was making sure Lanie was served an egg and tea.
Milk with tea!
Then Nana took her to the playground.  Samantha cannot get enough of the playground these days.
Samantha also loves bath time.  She especially loved bath time with Lanie.
Serving Lanie some bath water tea.
"My bag"- shopping upstairs.

Bed time reading with Nana and doggie.
S loved visiting the library with Nana and Granddad- especially looking at the mural.
"We're walking, we're walking, we're walking.  We're walking in the library now."
Lanie is confused.  Plastic cupcake in her dish?  Thanks, Samantha.
My parents also pulled up the blocks from storage and walking along the block path was like the most fun thing ever.
After I returned from Denver on Sunday, I was able to spend Monday with my parents.  Since it was Columbus Day my dad was home from work so we had a fun Monday together.
Pumpkin picking.  She decided that was her pumpkin.

Playground with Baba.

And wagon riding around the yard with Nana and Lanie.
And helping Nana rake.
What a fun weekend with Nana and Baba!  Glad we got to come back the next weekend!

Denver Visit

The second weekend in October, I headed to Denver to see Nicole, Katie, and Lauren. The purpose of the visit was to meet little Charlie and seeing old friends- major bonus.  Samantha got to have a vacation at Nana and Granddad's (more on that next post) and Andrew had to work, so I got to travel all by myself.  Flight there was relaxing and quiet- forgot how easy traveling without a toddler is!  And I certainly enjoyed my girls' weekend- so good to catch up with my college girls.

Chipotle with the girls and Charlie, post pedicures.  So good to meet this darling little one.
Happy with Auntie Nicole.

And appropriately snuggles with Auntie Lauren.
What a fun mommy!
On Friday night we went out to a fancy dinner. Brad and Steven were there, too, just didn't make it in the picture.  Thanks to Mama and Papa Finn for babysitting the girls!
On Saturday morning we got to see Maddie's soccer game. So fun to see these little girls just loving running around and being together.
And at the end of the game all the parents from both teams made a bridge and all the girls on both sides ran through numerous times.  I loved that part!
Maddie had a huge fan section.  Here's Auntie Nicole and Charlie.
And Auntie Lauren and Charlie.
The crew :)
The girlies.
Nicole and Brad and their baby, Elliot.
Hair-braiding.
Sleepy Charlie.
Steven is such a good daddy!
On Saturday we spent the afternoon out chatting and walking and just being.

Beautiful Cheesman Park
Elliot and Nicole
And we got to see Dr. Knee in action.  Nicole took us to Denver Health for...
And ultrasound for me!!!  Breaking lieucrew news...
Baby Lieu #2 coming April 2015!
Yay!  So fun to see Dr. Larrea at work (and awesome to get an extra super long ultrasound!)
Loved seeing you girls!

Seeing my grandparents in MD- Oct 2014

The first weekend in October we headed down to Maryland to see my grandparents.  It was great to visit with them, and I love that they get to see how Miss Samantha has grown.

Enjoying a cool afternoon on the waterfront

Samantha is really obsessed with apples these days.  Good things it's fall.  It's funny, too, because she's expressing herself to me even though she doesn't know vocab like peel and skin, but she does tell me to "open appa." Of course, taking the skin off does seem like opening an apple :)
Watching some Sesame Street movie with daddy.  It's the only way daddy gets his cuddling in.  Sorry to say I somehow passed on my non-cuddling, non-hugging gene to this little girl.
On Sunday we visited the Cape Arthur playground.  Grandmom wanted us to get a picture with the playground sign since the playground is in honor of her mother.  I think we have this exact same picture of the family from like 20 years ago.

Some fun with daddy on the playground.

I also need to find the picture of me riding this same seahorse.  Although most of the playground has been updated, there are a few things that were certainly around 25 years ago when we played on this playground every summer.

We loved visiting you, Grandmom and Granddad!
