Two weekends ago, I headed up to Boston to help throw one of my dear friends from college a baby shower. Caitlin has been a dear friend since our freshman year at Princeton, and we lived in a tiny Brown bedroom together junior year. She has had quite the baby story, and after very early labor, hospital bed rest, the birth of her twins at 32 weeks, and then many many weeks in the NICU - it was wonderful to finally get to celebrate her and Marshall and all that the Lord has done in their lives in and in the lives of their little boy and girl. It was also wonderful to catch up with Astrid and Charlotte, and see Astrid's beautiful new house in Cambridge. And I don't have pictures, but after shower we got to meet the wonderful little babies and spend some time out with their courageous and amazing momma. Such a special weekend spent with dear old friends!
Some details from the shower. I made all the sandwiches and the salad; Charlotte did all the baking; and Astrid set all the decorations up before she had to sleep off her night call!

What a sweet time together for the weekend! And wonderful to know Samantha was in good hands with Andrew and his parents (more on that soon) while I was gone!
