Walking better at home!

Since we've gotten home from California, Samantha has been working on her walking every day.  Last Wednesday she took eight steps, and since then she's has had days where she has taken two steps and days where she wants to try to walk a bunch.  It's so funny- the last two nights she has really seemed to work on her walking, returning again and again to the coffee table to try to walk a few steps.  Here are a few glimpses at her attempts at walking!

Visit from the Stillers

Last Thursday we were lucky to have Erik, Anna, and Caleb visit us.  Busch invited Erik and Andrew to speak at AIA, and while they were spending time with the students Anna and I got to watch the women's figure skating long program together and catch up!  And luckily they were able to drive up from Philly a little earlier and join us for dinner and some baby playtime.

What is up with this ridiculous smile she has started doing?
Caleb was not happy with Samantha trying to take her wagon back.
They made up and played with S's eggs together.
Classic- Samantha climbing something and Caleb eating something.
Bath time together :)  What good daddies these little ones have!
And on Friday morning Samantha ate her breakfast before Caleb got up, and then decided she wanted to eat Caleb's breakfast, too.  This little girl is turning into quite the food stealer!

Hope to see you soon, Stillers!

Aunt Christine and Uncle Stan's visit

We were in California for a week, and we felt very lucky that Andrew's sister Christine and her husband Stan flew down to Southern Cal to visit with us for the long weekend.  It was the first time we had really been able to hang out with Christine and Stan since their October wedding, and except for a 24 hour stomach bug that Andrew and his dad caught, it was a great weekend.  And did I mention that Stan is a professional photographer as his side job- such a wonderful gift to have great photos of our family's time together!

Playground with Samantha!  She loved climbing up and down the play structures!

Slide with Aunt Christine.

Didn't realize how often S stuck out her tongue while concentrating until I saw all of Stan's pics!

Still a little skeptical of swinging

And Saturday evening we swung by Andrew's uncle and aunt's house to say hello.  We didn't get a picture of all of us, but Stan did get some videos of Samantha trying to figure out Carol and David's dog, Mochi.  It was kind of hilarious.
S isn't the most gentle.
Such a sweet photo Stan captured!
Everyone was glad Daddy was feeling better on Sunday morning.

And there was more dancing :)

Love that face!

Bear snuggles.
Love these snuggles (it's been so long since she's cuddled- hope this is a new trend) - oh and listen to her saying hi in the movie. She's obsessed with waving and saying hi these days.
Family Pic

Ignore the poor quality of this one cellphone pic- but just wanted do document Samantha's first hibachi and the appearance of the bossy pointing finger that demands lots of things these days :)
Monday we had some more fun time playing around the house before Aunt Christine and Uncle Stan left.
Ooh a lens cap- very interesting!
We spent much of the day going up and down the stairs (S is also great at going down now!)
And of course playing with her car!

And some family pictures...

Finally a picture with Stan!
And before bed Uncle Larry, Aunt Nancy, and Emilie stopped by- fun to see you all and glad you got to meet Samantha!

Ooh- a cellphone!  So fun!

We loved seeing you all, and thanks again for these fantastic pictures, Stan!
